Brazil for us – all the people we love most

Igor and Gu, you have no idea of how much it meant to us that you decided to spend so much time with us. I know I’m not always in a good mood but trust me, all of the best memories we’ll have from this months will definitely include you. We’re so glad you’ve outgrown the just-became-teenager phase (‘cause that was super annoying). I can never thank you both enough for trying hard to make the kids (mostly Melissa) open up. You guys are the sweetest, most adorable, and best 15-year-olds I’ve met. Love you loads.

Pira and Mau, thanks for having us in your home, feeding us great barbecue and being just great hosts. I was pretty concerned that Coral was going to spend her time complaining alone to the wall, but Nat made her open up and play – and she had a great time. Lê, Elton, and Bruno thank you so much for showing up. I loved seeing how all you hadn’t changed a thing since 2003. <3

Bia and Déo, I love you. All the drive from one faraway place to another was worth it every time. We didn’t make it to the walk, but we’ll do it next time! And maybe we’ll be able to spend more time with you and the most adorable girls.

Reinaldo, Cris, Cido thanks for taking the time to come and see us. We hope to see you somewhere soon!

Penélope and kids, I’m so thankful that we met in Auckland. Even though the circumstances weren’t ideal, I’m also thankful you guys came to Brazil. You guys have a piece of our hearts. A huge piece.

Pam and Ken, I loved seeing you. Let’s hope that next time we’ll see each other more because it was way too little.
Tathi, thanks for the cutest birthday cupcakes Melissa’s ever had. You’re the best godmother ever. We love you so!

Ju and Art, thank you for feeding, sheltering and entertaining us even when you were sick. We loved everything, even the waffles. You guys are the best.

Lu, Batata, Tatiana, Bruno, Rê, Takashi and tia Helena: thanks for always been there, for all the parties, for giving the kids love and reassurance (and gifts). Thanks for giving the kids the best gift in the world, memories. We did not take a proper selfie with you because we always think there’ll be another day, another time. Even though it’s missing tia Helena, this one from Escape60 will have to do.

Juju, love love love love! It wasn’t nearly enough, and you didn’t even felt very comfortable around us, but next time I do hope things’ll flow easier. Thank you for spending time with us. We’re always thinking of you.

Teo and Pérola, it was such a great deal for us seeing you guys. We loved that you came to spend a few days with us. It meant the world to us. I wish I could take you with us!

Tio Nelson, thank you for the house, the food, the gifts, and everything you did for us. It wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Meire, just the best grandma ever. Really do take care of yourself to be able to play with the kids next time too!
